Bricktown is hosting its first ever music festival, OKC Ballet is dancing under the stars for free, and the housing market just shifted in a way that’s worth paying attention to. Bricktown Throws Its First Ever Music Festival
Bandwagon hits Bricktown this Saturday, September 12, and it’s a big swing for a first try: 45 artists across the district in a single day. Bricktown has never had its own homegrown music festival before, so if you like finding your new favorite band before your friends do, clear your Saturday for this one. (Oklahoma Gazette)
Free Ballet Returns To Scissortail Park
OKC Ballet performs “Ballet Under the Stars” at Scissortail Park this Friday, September 11, free and outdoors. Bring a blanket and something to eat, and plan to stay for the encore. It’s the kind of night that reminds you why living near downtown beats just driving through it. (Oklahoma Gazette)
Comics, Food Trucks, And A Free Snow Cone
Oklahoma Contemporary hosts the Oklahoma Comic Arts Festival this Saturday, September 12, from 10am to 6pm. It’s free, family friendly, food trucks are on site, and the first 200 people through the door get a free snow cone. An easy one to bring the kids to before it gets too hot to be outside all day. The Comets Are Home All Week
Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark hosts the Comets against Sugar Land from September 8 through 11. If you have not been down for a game since the rebrand, this is your excuse. It is a cheap, easy weeknight plan, done before 9. (MiLB.com)
What's Actually Happening In The Housing Market
OKC metro is officially back to a balanced market, per Realtor.com data from August 2026. Active listings are up almost 9 percent from a year ago, days on market have stretched to about 60, and the median list price has eased slightly to $268,400. Translation: buyers finally have more to choose from than they have had in years, and sellers who price it right are still moving. Whichever side of that you’re on, it is worth a real conversation, not just a headline. (Realtor.com, via News9)
